ORCA Roundup July 2025

July brought the good stuff - a big win, a shortlist, and some proper weird and wonderful things out in the world that sparked conversation in the studio. Here’s what we’ve been up to (and what we’ve been loving) this month.

FRESH FROM THE STUDIO

We Won Best B2C Campaign at the Independent Agency Awards

Big news: ‘No Matter Their Manners…’ our campaign for Pet Drugs Online, picked up Best B2C Campaign at the Independent Agency Awards! This one was a wild idea from the start - flipping the usual pet ad clichés by putting human behaviour on a leash. Huge love to our brilliant client for backing something bold, to NUSA STUDIOS for bringing it to life with care and craft, and to our director, Alice Panerai, for steering it beautifully. Thanks to the Alliance of Independent Agencies for the recognition - a big win for bold ideas.

Need a reminder of the campaign? You can watch it again here.

Creativepool Shortlist, Three Years Running

We’re on the Creativepool Annual 2025 shortlist - this time in the Advertising: TV category, again for ‘No Matter Their Manners…’ That’s three years on the trot for ORCA, and it still feels just as good. Winners are announced in September. Cross your fingers for us.

Check the project out here.

WHAT’S CAUGHT OUR EYE

Nike’s Visual Nod to the Lionesses

After England’s Women won the UEFA Euros, Nike dropped a visual that really stuck with us: the word ‘Home’, tweaked by removing the centre bar of the ‘H’, turning it into a subtle nod to II for the Lionesses’ second Euros win. Clean. Clever. Confident.

Samuel L. Jackson’s Campaign For Vattenfall

Motherf****ing windfarms. An unexpected one for sure - Samuel L. Jackson teamed up with Vattenfall, the European energy company, to shout (literally) about offshore wind farms… and seaweed snacks. Yep, seaweed snacks, made from what grows under the turbines. Mad, but it works.

NEXT MONTH

In August, we’ve got a rebrand taking off (hint hint) for a company that really aligns with our values,  by pushing for a better, more sustainable future. Can’t say too much about who it’s for just yet, but keep your eyes on the horizon…
